Biography
Terry Hargrave, PhD, and Sharon Hargrave, LMFT, travel and speak nationally and internationally on marriage, forgiveness, family dynamics and intergenerational issues. Terry is a professor of Marriage and Family Therapy at Fuller Theological Seminary and is nationally recognized for his pioneering work with intergenerational families and the development of the Restoration Therapy model. Dr. Hargrave has authored numerous professional articles and eleven books including 5 Days to a New Marriage (Co-authored with Shawn Stoever) and The Essential Humility of Marriage: Honoring the Third Identity in Couple Therapy.
Sharon is the Executive Director of the Boone Center for the Family at Pepperdine University. She is also the founder of RelateStrong (formerly MarriageStrong), a program for leadership marriages, and is an affiliate faculty member in the Marriage and Family Therapy department at Fuller Theological Seminary. Before moving to California, Sharon was in private practice for over 18 years. She specializes in working with couples and intergenerational issues.
Terry and Sharon are highly sought after speakers at retreats, conferences, and church, university, and community events. Their authentic style of sharing, paired with their expert knowledge and outstanding material, allows them to bless any audience or individual they meet.
Terry and Sharon have been married since 1979 and have two adult married children. They currently reside in Pasadena, CA.
