Sharon Hargrave, LMFT
Sharon Hargrave, LMFT, is the Executive Director for the Boone Center for the Family at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California and an affiliate faculty member at Fuller Theological Seminary in the Marriage and Family Therapy Department. She is also the founder of RelateStrong, designed to help both couples and individuals build healthy relationships. Sharon and her husband, Terry, speak nationally on issues pertaining to couples in ministry, marriage, intergenerational relationships, parenting, and the Restoration Therapy model.
Terry Hargrave, PhD, LMFT
Dr. Terry Hargrave is the Evelyn and Frank Freed Professor of Marriage and Family Therapy at Fuller Theological Seminary and has trained counselors and therapists for more than 30 years. He is a marriage and family therapist and has worked in marital therapy for 35 years.
Rev. Chris Adams, PhD
Rev. Chris Adams, PhD, is a third-generation pastor's kid who has a number of years of experience in pastoral ministry. He is also a clinical psychologist who specializes in clergy health as a senior research associate with the Flourishing in Ministry Project (University of Notre Dame). Chris is currently serving as the executive director of the Center for Vocational Ministry at Azusa Pacific University.
Kelly Haer, PhD, LMFT
Kelly Haer is the Relationship IQ Program Director at the Boone Center for the Family, has a PhD in family therapy, and has researched and presented on the emotional experience of being single. As a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT), she has counseled men and women struggling with undesired singleness. In her therapy, writing and speaking engagements, she also utilizes her personal experience as a single adult in the church for more than a decade after college.
Connie Horton, PhD, LP
Dr. Connie Horton is a psychologist who has worked in higher education for 27 years. She uses the wisdom gained from her years of experience as University Center Counseling Center Director at Pepperdine University to help parents and churches consider ways to raise children to be more resilient.
Jeff Reinke, pastor, and Robin Reinke, LMFT
Jeff Reinke has a master's degree in marriage and family therapy and has served as a pastor for more than 20 years. Robin Reinke is a licensed marriage and family counselor with more than 20 years of experience. They have researched and presented on numerous aspects of pornography — having also been impacted by it personally. As a marriage and family pastor, Jeff has counseled men and couples struggling with pornography and its impacts. Robin has counseled women and led women's groups in this area.
Robert Scholz, LMFT, LPCC
Robert Scholz is a licensed marriage and family therapist, educator and consultant who has extensive experience and training on helping individuals and families struggling with addiction. He has helped hundreds of clients over his 25-year career as a therapist, and has provided research-based training to thousands of treatment professionals, clergy, parents and other helping professionals.
Rhett Smith, LMFT, MDiv
Rhett Smith is a licensed marriage and family therapist (MSMFT, LMFT) in private practice, author and speaker. He transitioned into this work from full-time ministry (MDiv). He is the author of The Anxious Christian and What It Means to be a Man. Rhett's passion about helping others deal with anxiety has grown out of his own journey of dealing with anxiety.
Scott Symington, PhD, LP, and Melissa Symington, PhD, LP
Drs. Melissa and Scott Symington, both graduates of Fuller Theological Seminary, are clinical psychologists in full-time private practice. Their clinical work is driven by a passion to help individuals and couples experience greater levels of aliveness, intimacy and healing in sexual relationships. Melissa and Scott have additional training in sex therapy and enjoy speaking at professional conferences, couples retreats and church settings about healthy sexuality.
